As Albertans know by now, we’re in an election campaign. Elections by nature are short, challenging and a battle to win and identify your supporters. This can only be done through the handwork of dedicated volunteers who help the campaign team on a daily basis. Last Saturday we we’re fortunate enough to have a great dedicated team that helped us to knock off two polls in two short hours. Without their handwork, dedication and desire to Bring Back Rick Miller it wouldn’t be possible.

Edmonton-Rutherford has always been a swing riding. From defeating Don Getty to working to defeat the current Minister of Health, getting citizens to vote is always a challenge. But with the help of people like those in this picture, we can do it together. Thank you to the wonderful people of Edmonton-Rutherford for listening, speaking and taking time out of your busy lives to ask Rick your questions or make a comment. Democracy only works when people are engaged in the process.

The Famous Sign…

With the campaign nearing it’s final first week since the writ was dropped on Monday, it’s amazing how many people have commented on our campaign signs. With this being Rick’s 4th election campaign in Rutherford, he has the name recongnition, he’s a proven MLA and a passionate supporter of the Rutherford Constituency. Which is why we decided to introduce the “Bring Back” Rick Miller signage. Most voters are used to seeing either “elect” or “re-elect” but we decided to play differently.

The 2008 provincial election campaign saw Rick Miller loose by 58 votes. So our message was that we want to bring him back. Supporter after supporter have commented on the uniqueness of the signs and this is what we wanted. Rick’s a proven fighter and advocate for the residents and voters of Edmonton-Rutherford. It’s time to we do everything we can to restore the voice that Edmonton-Rutherford have for years with Rick Miller as their MLA.

Have a great weekend everyone and look for Rick, his iconic signs and him on a doorstep near you! It’s only a matter of time, over 4000 doors and it’s only week one.

“Street Wave” the Sherman way…
